Let's just call this one a status update!

First of all, I got my website up and running. You can find links to a lot of my nonsense here, so poke around and see if anything catches your eye! As for my current docket:

Rangers of a Broken World

Getting ready for the crowdfund launch next month! The Pre-Launch is live! I hope you'll take a look at all the excitement we have planned to drum up support between now and when the crowdfund ends in November. I'm over the moon that, as I write this, 356 people have signed up to be notified when the campaign starts, and it's only been live for 9 days!
I'm infamously anxious by nature, but having Evil Hat's excellent team on board to help with this crowdfund is a huge load off my shoulders. I don't have to promote alone.

Rebirth Roulette

My current TTRPG in progress is Rebirth Roulette, a transparent Shin Megami Tensei fangame taking place in a casino during the end of the world. Players carry the power of their Sponsor, a powerful legendary figure from earth's myth and history, to the goddess Fortuna's casino in order to play for the ultimate stakes: the right to shape the new world.
So far, I've written like four different sets of combat rules. I like where I'm at, but got a little hitched up on structure of play. Thanks to my friends, I was able to get a little insight into combat, though, and I should be able to break through and just start writing the first draft!

The Bright Lights

After the success of Commandment, success being measured in this case by the fun I had making it and people's enthusiastic responses, I've started ideating about my next video game project!
It's funny. I never thought I would be able to make a video game. Back when some friends and I were in college, we tried to do it, but it fell through, and one of said friends used "let's make a video game!" as his shorthand for a foolish optimistic but futile attempt ever since. I always thought I would need a programmer's help and an artist's help if I ever wanted to write one.
But it turns out, there are tons of tools you can use! Adventure Game Studio, Squiffy, things like that! And, with daily practice, I had become a pretty okay artist! And thanks to these I was actually able to make a small humble text adventure all by myself. Turns out you can do anything if you try!
So I want to do it again. The project's concept is surreal, as usual for me. The working title is "The Bright Lights" and it's about, I think, a resort hotel on an asteroid. Damned if I know, it's early days.

Leon's Tarot

Progress is chugging along! I've been working faithfully on this project for a long time, and I just finished the King of Wands! The only suit left is Swords.
After that, I plan on sending some queries to publishers. Wish me luck, okay?

Wyrmlings

Local luminary Roberta Taylor, boardgame designer extraordinaire, has put together a local speed pitch event for Canadian board game publishers!
I applied in a fit of whimsy despite having not designed a boardgame since I was a child making them out of old cereal boxes. Textbook Leon.
And I was accepted! So I had a little under a month to design a boardgame before the upcoming pitch event, so I had something to try and sell! It's called "Wyrmlings" and it's inspired by Umamusume Pretty Derby, Monster Rancher, and my friend Garm's incredible Stride by Stride.
In Wyrmlings, you raise a baby dragon to participate in tournaments in the hope of winning the end of year Harvest Cup. You can mutate them for a chance at better stats, train them, spoil them, take them to festivals, and more!
Wish me luck on the pitch, too! That's two things you need to wish me luck for! Don't lose track!

Art About The Devil

I'm carving a linoprint about the devil. I just do that sometimes.
